Originally built in 1974, this property has witnessed the valley’s evolution, and today, after extensive renovations, it emerges as a luxurious retreat, marrying modern comforts with a rich past.

Casa Villo’s Transformation Journey

Casa Villo's story began in the vibrant 1970s, a period of dynamic change for Napa Valley. Originally a modest dwelling, it mirrored the valley’s unpretentious beginnings. Fast forward to 2021-2022, and this historical home underwent a transformation as profound as the valley itself. The renovation process was a labor of love, with every beam and tile meticulously chosen to offer luxury while preserving the soul of the original structure. Today, Casa Villo stands proudly as a luxurious, five-bedroom haven, offering a serene escape amidst the bustle of modern life, a true testament to the valley's journey from humble roots to world-class stature. We will share in depth details about our transformation in our next blog! Stay tuned!

Napa Valley’s Historical Tapestry

To appreciate the essence of Casa Villo, one must delve into the rich tapestry of Napa Valley's history. The 1970s and 1980s were pivotal decades, marked by significant developments like the dedication of the Dwight Murray Plaza and the Parkway Mall, which reshaped Napa’s urban landscape. However, it was the wine that truly defined this era. The legendary Judgment of Paris in 1976, where Napa Valley wines triumphed over French counterparts, reshaped the global perception of the region. By 1981, Napa Valley was designated California’s first American Viticultural Area (AVA), cementing its place on the world wine stage.

  • “Host: Michelle was a FANTASTIC host! She answered all of my questions extremely quickly and even allowed us to check in a little bit earlier due to our early arrival. She even had a sweet champagne gift for my husband's 40th birthday and our 5 year wedding anniversary.

Home: The house was even more beautiful than the photos. There are a ton of games and amenities to keep both adults and kids occupied (we were a group of 10 adults). The guest room was more like a guest HOUSE / ADU. Beautiful!

Location: Everything was 10-15 min driving distance from the house which made it really convenient for our trips to Yountville, Napa wineries, and golf courses.

We will definitely be back and staying at this lovely home. Thank you for everything!”

  • “Lovely time staying here. Perfect for a larger group, looking to enjoy the fabulous food and wine of Napa. Super convenient location and clean, beautiful, well-appointed home. Would stay again!”

  • “We had a family wedding in Napa and this location was perfect! Michelle communicated with us quickly and we had a wonderful weekend. Very accommodating! The mother-in-laws suite was perfect for our stay as we brought a new born and had a babysitter organized to stay here during the wedding. So nice for my daughter and son in law to stay in that location with their baby. No worries about waking the rest of the family.

The kitchen was well stocked and we used the hot tub- all good.”
